Terms of service

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between the merchant who installs Steady COD Form ("you") and Soliman Apps, a trading name of Abdelrahman Gomaa Mohamed, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia ("we"). By installing or using the app you accept these terms, our privacy policy and the data processing terms in section 8. Shopify's own terms also apply to your use of Shopify.

2. The service

The app adds a cash on delivery order form to your Shopify store, creates orders in your store, retries orders that Shopify could not create, and sends your customers to your normal checkout when the form cannot be used. You are responsible for your products, prices, shipping fees, delivery, customer service and for having cash on delivery available as a payment method where you sell.

You must not use the app to collect data you are not allowed to collect, to send spam, to break the law, or to interfere with the app or with other merchants. We may suspend the app for a store that does this.

5. Availability

We work to keep the app available and to never lose an order, and the form falls back to your normal checkout if our server cannot be reached. We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted or error free. Planned maintenance and incidents are posted on our status page when available.

6. Liability

To the extent allowed by law, the app is provided "as is", and our total liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the 3 months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profits or indirect losses.

7. Ending the agreement

You can stop at any time by uninstalling the app. We delete store data as described in section 8. We may end the service with 30 days notice, or immediately for a serious breach of these terms.

8. Data processing terms

This section applies to personal data of your customers that the app processes for you ("customer data").

  1. Roles. You are the controller of customer data. We are your processor and act only on your documented instructions, which are these terms and the settings you choose in the app.
  2. Purpose. We process customer data only to create and retry cash on delivery orders in your store, to apply your limits and blocklist, and to show you orders that need attention. We do not sell customer data or use it for advertising, profiling or automated decisions about people.
  3. Data. Customer name, phone number, city, address, optional order notes, product option and quantity.
  4. Confidentiality. Only the developer can access production systems. Access is protected by strong authentication and every access to stored customer data is logged.
  5. Security. Customer data is encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and in transit with TLS. Test and production data are kept in separate environments.
  6. Subprocessors. Shopify (store platform), Fly.io (app hosting, Frankfurt), Neon (database, Frankfurt) and Resend (merchant alert emails, which contain no customer data). We will update this list on this page before adding a new subprocessor.
  7. Incidents. If we become aware of a breach of customer data, we will notify you and Shopify without undue delay and within 72 hours, and we will help you meet your own obligations.
  8. Assistance. We act on Shopify customer data requests and deletion requests, and we help you answer requests from your customers.
  9. Retention and deletion. Form submissions are deleted 90 days after they are received. When you uninstall the app, all data for your store is deleted after Shopify's store deletion request, 48 hours after uninstall.
  10. Information. On reasonable request we will give you the information you need to show that these terms are followed.

9. Changes and law

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new date and tell you in the app if a change is significant. These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
